How long will it take me to get an assignment?

There are a variety of factors that goes into getting an assignment. It also depends on the amount of time you invest in yourself. We recommend buying at least 20 state licenses, getting at least 4 certifications and signing up with all the major firms immediately after getting your first license. Doing this will increase your chances of getting work.

Should I be focused on working auto or property claims?

We recommend getting familiar with both auto and property. That way you will increase your chances of working all year round.

What certifications should I get?

As many as you can. Seriously! The more certifications you have will create additional opportunities for work. However, these are the certifications that we suggest getting right away: State Farm, Allstate, Liberty Mutual, TWIA, Rope & Harness, USAA.

Do you have a claims resume template that I can use?

Yes, on our home page we have a section called, "Adjuster downloads" where you can download our claims resume template.

How do I build my claims adjusting experience with no experience?

The best way to generate claims experience is to take claims courses or trainings online through the adjusting firms or other certified providers, ask to go on ride-a-longs with other experienced adjusters, look for claim internships online and continuously contact the adjusting firms for new hire opportunities.
